Hearts manager Jim Jefferies says he is not concerned about his side's lack of home wins in the league this season.

The Jambos are awaiting their first success of the campaign at Tynecastle, having picked up only two points out of a possible 12 in the capital.

But Jefferies is relaxed about that statistic as he prepares for the weekend visit of St Mirren.

"Much has been made of the home form. It has been fine; it's the results that need to improve," he said.

Much of Hearts' previous Scottish Premier League success has been built on consistent form at Tynecastle.

But defeats by Motherwell and Rangers and draws with St Johnstone and Dundee United have been tempered by taking nine points out of 12 on their travels.

"We still have two or three players out, which hasn't helped our cause at home," added Jefferies.

"It has been difficult trying to cover for Marius Zaliukas and Lee Wallace. It has left us a bit vulnerable.

"The fans have been fine, though, as it was only really the Motherwell game we didn't play well in.

"That may well have been a reaction to the superb effort put in against Falkirk and the comebacks there the week before.

"You can look at wee things but the bottom line is we need to turn it into results. But if we can be a bit more clinical in the final third, it'll come."

Aye, I'll go for a 2-1.

About time that they won at home ... it has to happen sometime.
