Hereford United sack Simon Davey and Andy Fensome

bbc sports

Hereford United have sacked boss Simon Davey and assistant manager Andy Fensome after winning just one of their 10 league games in charge.

The Bulls are bottom of League Two and have not registered a victory since the opening day of the season.

A club statement confirming their departures said: "The club decided to terminate their contracts after an unacceptable start to the season."

Bulls physio Jamie Pitman has been named caretaker manager.

Davey and Fensome's exit follows Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Barnet.

That was seen as a must-win game for the management team with Barnet beginning the afternoon just one place above the Bulls in the division.

Chairman David Keyte said: "As a club we are bitterly disappointed and deeply concerned at the results and performances so far this season and feel we have to take action."

Davey succeeded Graham Turner at Edgar Street in the summer after leaving Darlington.

The former Barnsley manager joined the Teesside club in April but could not prevent them being relegated to the Blue Square Bet Premier.

He quit that job in June by email.

His only win as Hereford boss came on the first day of the season against Crewe.

Serves the little tw*t right for doing the dirty on Darlington. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Seems a bit Knee-jerk to me. What manager can make or break a season in the first 10 games?

That said, I rate him as a manager as it is. But would have preferred it to be after next Saturday's loss to the Vale, when he was sacked, but alas not to be.

"It's about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It's about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it's about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. About Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could phone home"

The guy is a good manager or so I thought. When he joined Darlo I knew we were sunk but he had signed for the long shift, knew what would happen and was prepared to stay in the BSP and bounce back with us.

Then he turned out to be a proper cnut and decided that perhaps the BSP was beneath him. Left and claims some load of bollocks, before arriving at Hereford because they are a league team.

Well I'm sorry but you reap what you sow and that two faced bast*rd has got what he deserves. I really hope he rots he in hell!
