Skysports.com understands Bradford are set to sign former England international Lee Hendrie.

Hendrie has been looking for a new club all summer after leaving Derby at the end of last season.

The former Aston Villa star had been on trial at Reading earlier this month, but failed to win a deal at the Madejski Stadium

Bradford have now moved in to snap up the free agent with Peter Taylor keen to offer the 33-year-old a chance at Valley Parade.

His signing will come as a welcome boost to Bradford as they look to climb up the League Two table after a disappointing start to the season.

The lad has plenty of experience, so I think PT has done a shrewd bit of business here  clapping
