TEAM NEWS
Ipswich goalkeeper Marton Fulop is a doubt after suffering an ankle injury during Sunday's defeat by Norwich.

Gareth McAuley, Mark Kennedy, Connor Wickham, Luke Hyam and Tom Eastman are all sidelined, while defender Damien Delaney is suspended.

West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu begins a two-match ban after being sent off for the second time this season at Everton on Saturday.

Jonas Olsson (Achilles) and forward Ishmael Miller (abdomen) are injured.

MATCH PREVIEW
Roy Keane's first cup quarter-final as a manager comes as the Ipswich boss is under increasing pressure following a run of poor results, culminating in Sunday's 4-1 defeat against the club's arch rivals Norwich City.

Town, semi-finalists in 1982 and the only non-Premier League club left in this season's competition, have suffered four consecutive league losses and slumped from third to 16th in the Championship table. Injuries to key players have not helped and yet, despite their problems, they have the chance to progress to within one match of a Wembley cup final.

West Brom, the 1966 winners, also reached the last four in 1982 - when they lost in the semi-finals of both the FA and League Cup. Roberto Di Matteo's team head to Suffolk following a resounding 4-1 victory at Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

That emphatically ended Albion's five-match winless run. It was also their biggest win since beating Leicester City 4-1 in the previous round. Di Matteo, a League Cup winner as a player with Chelsea in 1998, described the Baggies' display at Goodison Park as "incredible".

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

• Ipswich have won 33 and West Brom 21 of the 70 previous matches between these clubs.
• They have faced each other only once before in the League Cup, when Albion won a third-round replay in September 1969.

• Albion's last win at Portman Road was 5-1 victory in October 2006.

Ipswich

• Ipswich have lost eight of their last 12 matches.

• A victory would see them reach the semi-finals for the fourth time. As well as their defeat in 1982, they went out at that stage in 1985 and 2001.

West Brom

• Albion have kept only one clean sheet away from home this season; at Leyton Orient in the second round.

• This is their best run in the competition since reaching the quarter-finals in 2004, which is their only other appearance in the last eight in the last 22 years.

This is the quarter final most likely to have an upset, for me that is. So I reckon ipswich may suprise as it's their cup final.

Ipswich goal: It's probably deserved on the balance of play, but West Brom aren't happy. Carlos Edwards goes down under a challenge from Graham Dorrans - was inside the area or outside? - referee Michael Jones says it's inside and up steps Grant Leadbitter to lash home.

Ipswich 1-0 West Brom (Leadbitter pen)
