i went to see a consultant yesterday about my knee because its been dodgy for nearly two years now since i injured it kicking about with some mates. He said ive got a ruptured collateral ligament and ruptured cruciate ligament so no footy for me for a while Cry  Cry  Cry .

What really annoys me is when i first injured it, they said there was nothing wrong with it and it was twice its normal size, because if they had spotted it i probably wouldn't have had an injury plagued season this season. Cry

Whats the worst injury youve had?

Where do you want me to start.

Through football & cricket over the years I have broken:-
My arms - three times
My fingers - twice
My leg - once
Untold black eyes as my face has met a boot after I've headed a ball away or the ball has caught me in the face at cricket.

My wife everytime witters on but I still get it sorted and get straight back at it.

The two worst I have had are:

Sprained one ankle badly, falling off a kerb,

then pretty much two years to the day.

Damaged ligaments in the other ankle after falling off a kerb.

While at school and college, playing 5 - a -side I developed a knack of saving penalties with my face

Broken a bone in my left hand once

Broken a bone in my right hand twice - Only two weeks between each break, Army medic in Kosovo didnt pick up the first one after I punched a door  huh  Whistle , played Rugby with what was only thought to be a badly bruised hand and snapped it again, had an x-ray and the Yank doctor told me he couldn't straighten the bone as its healed wrong.....due to it not being straightened the first time.......wanker. Now if I ever feel the need to punch anything/anyone, i'm extremely cautious of breaking my hand again.

Mt IT band bothers me when I run sometimes, and has done for years. I live with it now.

I got a serious knock to the head while playing Rugby. It happened about 20mins into the game, apparently I came off the pitch 10 mins later, 20 mins into the second half I asked one guy next to me if it was still the first half....... laugh he took me to the A&E laugh I lost about 45mins of my life...the scariest thing was, I played on for 10mins not knowing anything about it. Shock

Suffering from shin splints as we speak Cry

I suffer from week achillies which is strange.......any exercise i do i will sit down or stop and it will be so painful i cant walk for a bit.

Last two seasons have been bad in goal for me.......First match back i broke my thumb.....come back then brake it again! i continued to play and have probably done lasting damage embarrased as mundane tasks like typing, making a sandwich are hard or impossible.
Also playing in goal ive lost count the amount of back injuries ive had laugh

I got run over by a work saver (like a wee mini forklift kind of thing)back in the day, breaking 5 bones in each of my feet .

And even further back in the day, when I was still in school in fact, I had a javelin go through my leg. I threw mine, wasn't happy with the distance, and ran to retrieve it, ad as a joke my mate though he's throw his, and just miss me. Well he was a better shot than he thought, because the thing went straight through my calf. The Doctors said, if I was a fraction of a second slower, the thing could have gone through my back  Shock

Not strictly an injury, but when doing heavy lifting repeatedly, or when my fingers get too cold- they lock up for minutes at a time, and I cant do anything till they relax
