I'm looking to frame two of my old Uni cricket shirts in seperate frames. I'm also last years ULCC sqaud photo. Does anybody know of a national retalier that does these sort of sizes. For the shirts, they need to be big frams to fit the shirt and some part of the sleeves. For the team photo, the size needs to be a foot across and a foot and half up.

Many Thanks Trev

I would say the purpose of BB's post was to let you know, it had been read and was not just being ignored. Anyway, I had a wee look at google when I saw your post earlier this morning, and again this morning, and alas I couldn't see anywhere that might be of help to you. In saying that, when my local Club Sunday team starting winning trophies back in the day, we hired a local retired chippie to make us up a cabinet to fit a certain place on the wall of our club. We gave him the dimensions, and he even had the glass put into it for us. I couldn't tell you how much we paid, but I'd say it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than buying one new.

So the $64 question is, do you or anyone you know, know of ant retired/semi retired chippies in your area?

Right Trev,

It ain't cheap mate if you want it done properly that is. My friends partner works in a framing business but they do paintings. She personally assess paintings and frames them.
So I asked for you and got questions like what size shirts, what type of frame you want (and there are loads) etc. So I told her to quote me basice frames etc.

For just one shirt and your cricket phot you are looking at ?60 mate. I think Jimmie O's advice may be better.

Saldy don't but will have a word with people, see if they know of anybody if they do.

I did look around google, and their wasn't great amount of help, well not for the shirt, can easily sort the photo frame for the team picture, so that inst a problem.

it might seem I will have to go and have it professionaly done it would seem, even though its rather exspensive, their tihngs i'm proud off, and want to keep with me for a long time, so I don't want a half arsed job done by myself.

Thanks for the help.

Ps, sorry, didnt mean to put this in the general sports thread.

Trev,

Just thought I'd let you know I was talking to the lady who does this and so you will know if they are any good. She said it takes time to do a shirt properly and they put small stitches to hold it in place but that don't ruin the garment.

So make sure they do that or they maybe a rip off outfit.
