I can't pick a Celtic XI as that would be too difficult.  I've seen many more United games though (but it's still quite difficult too!).

Cambridge United:

I only started watching  Cambridge scarf in 1978 (when I was 4!), so pre-80's I don't know much about. I started going to games on my own / with mates when I was 11 (1985), so I've only got about 25 years to go on. Anyhoo:

4-4-2

1 John Vaughan  <-- Made some amazing saves at times. Superb, on his day. Currently the GK coach at Huddersfield.

2 Andy Fensome RB
3 Alan Kimble LB
4/8 Colin Baillie MC
5/6 Liam Daish DC (currently the Ebbsfleet boss)
6/5 Phil Chapple DC
7 Michael Cheetham M/AM R
8/4 Chris Leadbitter MC
11 Lee Philpott M/AM L

9 & 10 : Two from Dion Dublin, Steve Claridge & John Taylor. Whichever two were best/available at the time.

 clapping    thumbs up

Gonna pick my fav 11 from what i've seen....but if i choose all time it would easily include Haynes, Mullery, Macedo, Moore, Brown, Jezzard, Chamberlain, Davies.

1. Van der sar.....Although Schwarzer will over take him in coming years
2. Finnan
5. Coleman
6. Hangeland or Morgan
3. Brevett
7. Malbranque
4. Collins or Hayward
8. Legwinski or Clark
11. Boa Morte
10. Mcbride
9. Saha

There's loads of crap players who are mini cult heroes but abit to rubbish to put in

"It's about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It's about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it's about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. About Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could phone home"

RW - Gareth Ainsworth

He's done the rounds a bit. Used to play for CUFC, we rated him highly - worked hard and produced some good performances too. Not good enough for my CUFC XI though, but he was popular with us fans.  thumbs up

As for  Celtic Scarf i think this side would take some beating

Ronnie Simpson
Danny McGrain
Tommy Gemmell
Bobby Murdoch
Paul McStay
Billy McNeill
Bertie Auld
Jimmy Johnstone
Bobby Lennox
Kenny Dalglish
Henrik Larsson

had to leave the likes of Tommy Burns and Lubo out, but I think this is the side I's go for

 old git old git

He is the biggest buy that Vale have made at £500,000, had him just over a season, and sold him for £2million
