Leyton O v CUFC

Many years ago, with Camb Utd, we were a tad late  embarrased due to  drink and the turnstile-operators at Brisbane Road visitors end decided to slack-off early  thumbs down

So we had to go in the home end - the home terrace opposite the visitors end - where for some reason they still had the gates open  huh

We covered our colours & got in but at HT were 'removed' (due to our blatent Cambridgeness!) to the away end to the applause of the CUFC fans. We walked across the pitch. It was well funny  thumbs up  laugh

Must admit tho that the Orient fans/staff and the coppers were ok - they could have thrown us out or nicked us but they didn't. clapping

True story.  Cambridge scarf   thumbs up

Been in the wrong end on numerous occasions, if it was the only place you could get in you had to go in.

True enough. Hard to keep yer mouth shut though!  quiet  panic ;)

Had a mate in the past who went in the home end (which was Peterburra!  Shock ) 'for a laugh'

What a nutcase! Probably dead now. He did it at Grimsby too. Daft.  << in the seats. He wouldn't have survived the terrace.

I've never done it on purpose. Never will do.

Couple years ago we played United away in the FA Cup, and i left it late to get tickets so got my mate whos a season ticket holder to get me a ticket by the tunnel. Was very hard to contain myself when we we're the first team to score a pen in 10 years!

I ended up getting rumbled but everyone was friendly enough and chatted about all things football during half time and the 2nd half clapping

Aye, I suppose it can be ok at times. But I'll never be in the home end at Rangers or Peterburra - what an absolute nightmare  panic  !!

I'd have to kill them all, which isn't allowed, .... Off  ;) lol.

Only really been in the away end at Vale Park once, and that was a pre-season against Everton about 3-4 seasons ago. only the ends of the ground were open to both sets of fans.

Vale fans, including me, went in the Hamil end, just to see what the craic is like, and then walked down the touchline after about 20 minutes when the stewards changed their minds.

Went to Leeds - Arsenal game in 2005, sat in the main stand at Elland Road, My dad grew up a fan of Leeds, before starting at Vale, and I like Arsenal, so it was a bit dodgy, when Henry nabbed 3 goals, and the game finished 0-4

Been in the away end at CUFC.

Was when we played Swansea. They had the seats, we got all the terracing as they only brought a few hundred.

It was so strange to stand in the 'visitors' end at the Abbey and look at the North Terrace (Newmarket Road End) - where I normally stand - from the other side.

Mental - we were singing songs to our mates in the opposite terrace!  music  great day.

...and we won.  Cheers

No joke, said in the paper, on the website and everything, so about 200 vale fans went in the Hamil Road (away) stand, until about 30 minutes in, when the tannoy announces that all Vale fans sitting in the Hamil, were to report to stewards ASAP

End of last season, we (CU) played Altrincham and were given the usual visitors end as they only had a hundred or so (they had the end of the terrace along the side). Strange again to be in the opposite end to normal! We were all over them but it ended 0-0.
