Since Ive decided to start up a new fitness program and keep the booze to a minimum I thought Id make a topic to let you all know how I progress and other people can add their stories here as well.
Well I got weighed this morning after a boozy bank holiday weekend and I was 12 stone 4 pounds, going to try and get down to 12 stone and do lifting, obviously Im not going to be a meathead, dont want to be too big.
Ive started doing Supersets on each exercise followed by 30 minutes cardio, Supersets are a real fucker though not used to working out like that but its meant to build muscle a lot quicker.
Hopefully going to avoid temptation to have a Few Pints when Liverpool are on Wednesday, might be going out on Saturday Night so Ill try and wait until then  :england:

Doing weight lifting makes you put on weight m8. Muscle is heavyier than fat they say.

I honestly couldn't tell you my weight just now.  huh

I'm looking to lose some weight and get fit, The beer monstar i am, i've got a slight beer belly, and my fitness for cricket is awful. I was shattered after making a few runs on saturday.

I need to get some proper running shoes, as I struggle with shin problems, do the running shoes work well when running on the roads and paths?

My Belly just looks deformed compared to the rest of my body, my arms and shoulders are getting pretty ripped up.
Need to give up on the Ale, I was drinking 4/5 nights a week(not heavily for 3 of those nights I would only drink 4 cans of Carling or Strongbow and then have 10 pints followed by a few bottles every Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night).
Of course for the good of my long term health I cant continue doing that so Ive cut out drinking during the week(unless its a night out in Liverpool, if I go to a local boozer for a drink Ill just have a sugar free cordial drink and Ive decided to pack in drinking in the house during the week and on nights out just SLOW DOWN AND NOT DEMOLISH PINT AFTER PINT(the latter I havent been able to do yet)  laugh  laugh
Ive been going to Kick Boxing again, I spewed it off a couple of years and gotten out of shape since, and I am going the Gym  40 minutes weight training 4 days a week followed by 40 minutes cardio and then a 20 minute swim.
Something I would like to try and got it recommended to me was MMA training as some lad I know goes, but Ive no experience in anything else but Kick Boxing so Id probably get my arse kicked the first few months and the workouts are a lot brutal so Id need to lose the fat on me first.

I've piled on weight since the beginning of year (pretty fcked up few months)

Used to walk to work, and then walk behind a mower all day. Now i drive to work, and drive a mower all day.... very little exercise now.

Have just 5k on exercise bike, going to stay with 5k for a week, then step it up to 10k a day, and so on

I think I should stay out of this thread. As my wife hates the fact that I am one of those annoying gits that eats what he likes and doesn't put weight on!

If I don't exercise I don't put on weight. I can goto the scales now and I know within a few pounds what it will say.

The counter is that even when I exercise I don't lose weight either.
