I saved the day (night) !

Some daft cnut(s) burned some toast in the kitchen and set-off the fire alarms at about 2am.

Lucky for everyone that I was up and I knew about the fire alarm stuff.

I went all the way down to the kitchen (in the basement - I live on the top-floor), checked that all was OK and reset the alarm, told everyone that all was fine and got heaps of thanks.

Whichever daft cnut that set-off the alarm didn't admit to it. It seems that everyone in the building was innocent. Hmmm, maybe it was a ghost ... lol.

I checked again at 4am and 6am to be sure. Good Job

Another BIG Brownie-point for me - I'll milk-it with my landlady later today (she doesn't live here). I should get a rent-reduction or somesuch.

No, it wasnae me.

Random facts about today:

They are building an ice-skating rink on Parkers Piece for Xmas / New Year. I've just been watching the council workers arguing about where to lay the metal walkway.

I have just met the landlady and she thanked me for what I did re: the fire alarm shenanigans. Smiley

I need to have a shave but can't be bothered. I shall be stubbly as I listen to the footy. Smiley

I've put a clean duvet cover on my duvet (it's blue, but never mind!).

I've got loads of loose sherbet in my pockets.

When the fire alarm went-off, I stuffed all my sweets into my pockets and the sherbet leaked-out.

I now look like a cocaine smuggler who is trying to get rid of the evidence  laugh  !

Haha. Not guilty !

I might go to the Memorial today but my legs aren't good (dodgy knees and ankles) so I might stay here. I went on the 11th anyway.

I'll try to see the Celts game if I can find a stream, and if my 'net is working.

I need to buy a large saucepan or wok for cooking, but it's not essential so I'll probably leave it 'til next week.

The fire alarm hasn't gone off again.  thumbs up

Well my mate couldn't fix my freeview box, so I will see if I can do without it until the middle of next week, will have to get another one before the weekend.

Ciaran even went home early because he said their was none of his mates on Xbox, and no decent programmes on TV  laugh

No money, so stuck in again, and it's a SUNDAY  Shock

Still will watch Celtic on a football stream with any luck  praying
