Why ?

I get pretty annoyed by having to hear noisy bloody kids in the back yard of my local (it's only a few yards away and the sound travels).

Why do folk take their kids to the boozer ??

Why can't they leave the noisy brats with relatives, or just go to the offy and stay at home for a cheaper drink or two ?

Kids aren't allowed to drink anyway, so why take them to a pub and let them run riot about the yard as they have nowt else to do ?

 huh

I take Ciaran to the Millhouse from time to time, but he don't run around like an idiot. We have a game of pool every now and again. Then again the Millhouse is not a Pub it's a Club.

Yeah, that's fair enough mate.

As you say it's a Club, not a pub.

Likewise we have kids in the Cambridge United S.C. which is OK by me. I'm quite happy to see nippers in United jerseys at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon at the S.C.

It's different with pubs though, and many parents need to be more responsible, IMO.

not too fussed, we get a mixture of annoying and well behaved kids. Although kids are banned from going inside which is harsh on a dad or mum leaving their kid whilst getting a drink laugh

Sorry, kids and pubs just don't mix, and it shouldn't be encouraged. I was taken to the bar when I was wee, and would play in the park next door, and my Father would bring out the odd bottle of Irn Bru and bag of crisps, while he swallowed pints  no

God you miserable lot. I suppose I can understand paul as I think he doesn't have kids.

Right here is the problem that you lot haven't considered and that is that most pubs now offer food and if they do that then they are inviting all in. You don't get restaurants with a licence saying no kids because they can't lagally drink now do you so the same applies to pubs.
There does need to be sensible approach and my local I think does both. It asks for no kids after 8pm, which is fair.
