Ok people. Sky have been in touch via Twitter. Which just shows how good Twitter can be for us. Anyway they have kindly given us a heads-up on a new programme that could be of good interest to football fans and I suppose non football fans as well. I have copied the whole message below for you all to read.
As big as Sky, as a company, are please remember they are letting us know, they didn't have to, and it shows the bond we have via twitter so please take it in the manner in which it is intended and if you can watch it then why not see what it is like.

Hi Darlington

I  am contacting you on behalf of the Sky1 team, I hope you don't mind!

We are letting uk sports fans know about a brand new comedy quiz show that is starting on the 11th March called A League Of Their Own. The show is hosted by James Corden and sets two teams of comedians, celebrities and sports stars against each other in a test of their sporting knowledge. I thought your forum members might be interested to hear about this.

Would you be able to help spread the word to your users by posting the information below in a thread on the forum?

Look forward to hearing from you and hope you can help!

Best Wishes

Lauren Archer

SKY 1'S ALL NEW COMEDY QUIZ SHOW: A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN!
Starts Thursday 11 March 21.00 Sky1 HD & Sky1

The squads are confirmed and it’s kick-off time on Sky1 HD’s brand new comedy quiz show. BAFTA®-winning Gavin & Stacey star James Corden referees the wacky challenge of sporting knowledge as two teams of comedians, sports stars, and celebrity sports fans compete against each other. Across three rounds, the teams’ sporting knowledge is put to the ultimate test.

This first episode kicks off the series with an hour-long special featuring world heavyweight boxing champion David Haye, and the voice of Bob the Builder and man behaving badly, Neil Morrissey.  It’s red v blue, Redknapp v Flintoff, and no one wants to be on the losing side. Who’ll have the last laugh and claim victory, proving they’re truly in a league of their own?

Guests confirmed to appear in the rest of the series include Amir Khan, Jimmy Carr, Alastair Campbell, Ruth Jones, Claudia Winkleman, Matt Le Tissier, Dara O’Briain and Steve Harmison.

In a game of two halves, A League Of Their Own is all about banter and gags as this exciting new format embraces Sky’s proud sporting pedigree to create a back-of-the-net winner.

Sounds quite good, but would be a lot better if it were BBC.... especially since I probably wont get to watch it regularly

"It's about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It's about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it's about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. About Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could phone home"

I saw the first episode, and was impressed, Like a Question of sport meets Mock the week meets Never mind the buzzcocks
