I think it only fair that the lower leagues have their section for this as well. Might not be as high profile but there will no doubt be some deals that will be of interest.

So post them in here.

Ipswich step up Michael Chopra chase and look set to seal Cardiff ace for £4m

Ipswich are ready to increase their offer and land Cardiff striker Michael Chopra for a fee of just over £4million.

Chopra, 26, is boss Roy Keane's number one summer transfer target but the Bluebirds have so far rejected the Tractor Boys' bids, the most recent of which was for £3.75m.

But Keane will get his man after Cardiff boss Dave Jones reluctantly decided to part company with the player who cost him £4m from Sunderland a year ago.

Jones is ready to splash a large part of the cash he receives for 21-goal Chopra on Swindon's Charlie Austin, who netted 20 times in his first Football League campaign following a move from Poole Town in July last year.

Keane had led Sunderland to the Championship crown and a top-flight return when he spent £5m to sign Chopra from Cardiff three years ago.

But the player, who launched his career with Newcastle, bagged just eight Premiership goals in 38 appearances before being loaned back to the Welshmen and then making the move permanent last summer.

Keane is hoping to raise money from the sale of striker Jon Stead to home-town club Huddersfield, where he launched his career eight years ago.

Stead was the Tractor Boys' six-goal top scorer when he was loaned to Coventry last season, scoring twice in 10 league appearances for the Sky Blues.

The two clubs agreed a £400,000 fee for the former England Under-21 cap but a change of manager at the Ricoh Arena, Aidy Boothroyd replacing the sacked Chris Coleman, scuppered that deal.

Stead is one of several Ipswich players with a year left on their Portman Road contracts to have been told they do not feature in Keane's future plans.
Meanwhile, Ipswich and Norwich are among a number of Championship clubs weighing up a move for Charlton skipper Nicky Bailey.

I always have thought Michael Chopra was cardiff born, so with no disrespect to Ipswich, why would he want to switch to the Tractor Boys  huh I mean he was very nearly playing in the Premiership this season with Cardiff.

Miller has had loan spells at Peterborough and Dagenham

Cambridge United have signed midfielder Adam Miller on a three-year deal after being released by Gillingham.

The 28-year-old said he turned down offers from Football League clubs to join Martin Ling's side.

He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "The way Martin Ling went about things was a massive part in me signing.

"The way he went about things was just like a League manager and in my mind he still is and I feel like I can help us get into the Football League."

Miller began his career as an Ipswich trainee before signing for Canvey Island and moving onto Ebbsfleet and then Aldershot.

He signed for QPR in November 2004 and moved to Stevenage two years later, scoring 11 goals in 60 games, and then Gillingham, netting 11 times in 88 appearances.

"I've done the business at this level before and I know I'll be able to do the same again," he added.

"I feel I've grown in different ways and I'm more than confident I'm going to get my goals in that league."

Preston and QPR in chase for Doncaster midfielder Woods

daily mail

Preston and QPR are stepping up their interest in Doncaster's former Sunderland midfielder Martin Woods.
Preston had a £500,000 bid for the 24-year-old specialist rejected in January, while QPR manager Neil Warnock is also a firm admirer.

QPR are also keen on Portsmouth's Tommy Smith.
Plymouth manager Peter Reid is targeting an ambitious £500,000 move for Japanese World Cup striker Shinji Okazaki

Preston have turned down a third bid for goalkeeper Andrew Lonergan from Premier League side West Brom, according to their club website.

The Championship side's manager Darren Ferguson values the 26-year-old at £20m and is determined to hold on to him.

"They have been in three times now and we have turned down every bid," said the former Peterborough boss.

"We got the latest bid today [Tuesday] but I value him at £20m - I don't want to sell him."

BBC

Hull City have accepted a £1.5m bid from West Bromwich Albion for Wales international keeper Boaz Myhill, reports BBC Radio Humberside.

Myhill, 27 has made 277 appearances for the Tigers having joined from Aston Villa in 2003 for £50,000.

The move is expected to go through over the weekend subject to personal terms.

Hull's head of football operations Adam Pearson said: "He's played a special part in the club's history so it's not an easy decision."

He continued: "He's a player I've known a long, long time and have got a lot of time for."

Myhill had been reluctant to move away from East Yorkshire and has reportedly turned down two offers to leave the KC Stadium this summer with Fulham and Tottenham believed to have expressed an interest.

With debts in the region of £25m - £10m of which is owed to other clubs - Pearson admits they have to take all offers for their players seriously.

"The fact that we owe money to other clubs puts us under pressure to raise cash this summer," he said.

"All we've raised so far is the cash off the sales of Stephen Hunt and Steven Mouyokolo to Wolves so it does put you under pressure to look at the deals and the position of the club is such that we have to consider them carefully."

The United States-born keeper joined Hull when they were in the bottom tier of the Football League - and enjoyed three promotions with them, followed by this summer's relegation from the Premier League.

Hull have also confirmed they are tracking Tottenham midfielder John Bostock with a view to a possible loan deal.

It's believed the Premier League side want the 19-year-old to gain further experience following a loan spell at Brentford last season.

Meanwhile, former Hull captain George Boateng has joined Greek side Skoda Xanthi.

The 34-year-old has been linked with West Brom and Celtic this summer after his contract expired following the Tigers' relegation.

Hull have also announced they have handed a trial to former Portsmouth striker Paris Cowan-Hall.

The 19-year-old, who spent a short loan spell with local rivals Grimsby Town last season, featured in Hull's friendly with Barton Town on Thursday night.
