As he prepares to take his Swansea side to Watford on Tuesday, Brendan Rodgers says he made the wrong decision in leaving the Vicarage Road club.

Rodgers quit the Hornets in acrimonious circumstances to join Reading in June 2009 after just seven months in charge.

But he lasted a month less at his new club after being shown the door following five league wins in 21 games.

"In hindsight it proved to be the wrong move for me to leave but I went with my gut feeling at the time," Rodgers said.

"That's all you can do as a human being. [Watford] is a place I'll never forget and I obviously don't expect to get a good reception from the fans. I'm sure it will be frosty."
