Leicester City manager Paulo Sousa is eager to sign Slovenia international midfielder Robert Koren.

Koren, 29, helped West Brom win promotion to the Premier League last season but was released in the summer.

Sousa told BBC Radio Leicester: "He can play in two different positions - as a wide man and inside. He shoots from outside [the box], right foot and left.

"He has a good understanding of the game, is a good passer and makes good decisions. I would like to have him."

And Sousa has also reiterated his desire to keep striker DJ Campbell.

Campbell spent most of last season on loan and played a key role in helping Blackpool win promotion via the play-offs.

The Tangerines were eager to keep him, but Sousa wants the former Birmingham City man to stay at the Walkers Stadium.

"We have a good offer for DJ," Sousa said. "But he feels happy in the club and part of the club. He wants to play in the Premier League of course - but with us."

Getting Koren would be a great move by Sousa  clapping

He didn't actually say he was pursuing Koren, just that he really liked him as a player and that he'd love to bring him to the club.

I think thats a bit harsh. Lloyd Dyer is more than good enough at this level and arguably our most creative player was on the bench for the first half (comes on 2nd half and BANG!). Gallagher isn't fully fit as of yet and he's again a decent player at this level. N'Guessen is handy coming on the last 20 minutes too (provided he can be arsed).

Robbie Neilson i believe. He's OK. Tends  to have the occasional good game which he then follows up with 2-3 mediocre performances.

Former West Brom midfielder Robert Koren will reject Premier League newcomers Blackpool for Championship side Hull City. The 29-year-old Slovenia captain, who is a free agent, may be given a three-year deal.
