Crystal Palace have secured the services of Everton striker James Vaughan on a three-month loan deal.

Vaughan will be available to Eagles' manager George Burley for Saturday's Championship trip to Reading.

The 22-year-old, who came through Everton's academy, has been unable to displace Louis Saha and Jermaine Beckford in the Toffee's first team.

Vaughan became the Premier League's youngest goal scorer when he scored against Palace in 2005.

The youngster, who has suffered knee and shoulder injuries, previously spent spells on loan at Derby and Leicester last season.

I like this lad, and thinks he's a very good prospect for Everton.

Yes I agree, 3 months so I suppose they can re-assess at the next transfer window.

If he does enough in the 3 months Palace are going to offer him a permanant move

Indeed but the Toffees may not accept it. Also if they get any injuries to strikers I bet he will be recalled straight away.
