From Setanta

Setanta is proud to be making its FA Cup debut this season and can reveal the two first round ties that will be televised live from the greatest domestic cup competition in world football.

On Friday, November 7 we will be screening Leeds United?s game with Northampton Town at Elland Road as Gary McAllister?s side look to enjoy cup success as well as making a concerted bid for promotion.

The fallen giants, winners of the FA Cup in 1972, take on a Northampton side placed 14th in League Two in a game that kicks off at 7.45pm.

Our second live game of the first round sees history being made as AFC Wimbledon make their debut in the competition proper when facing Wycombe Wanderers on Monday, November 10.

The London district has close links with the FA Cup after the famous triumph of Wimbledon over Liverpool in 1988, and the new club born out of the controversial relocation to Milton Keynes in 2002 now has a chance to make their own mark on the competition.

The Blue Square South side tackle Wycombe at Kingsmeadow in a game that kicks off at 7.45pm.

I see Brentford are on TV again, seems they always end up on tv for an FA Cup game.

You'd think it was a good idea have a derby game on tv for an FA cup tie, would add an extra bit of passion to it again. Their is a chance of that if Mansfield beat York, they face Chesterfield at Saltergate

Full 1st round draw

 Colchester v Leyton Orient
Havant & Waterlooville v Brentford
Blyth Spartans v Shrewsbury Town
Sutton United v Notts County
Torquay United v Evesham United
Oxford United v Dorchester Town
Bury v Gillingham

Walsall v Scunthorpe United
Bournemouth v Bristol Rovers
Brighton v Hartlepool United
Aldershot Town v Rotherham United
Morecambe v Grimsby Town

Alfreton Town v Bury Town
Kidderminster v Cambridge United
Leicester City v Stevenage/Horsham
Milton Keynes Dons v Bradford City
Darlington v Droylsden/Belper Town

The more games shown on Setanta the better, I only watch it on  a Saturday or Sunday tbh.

In a replay game last night, Mansfield Town beat York City. This meaning that its a local derby agains Chesterfield at Saltergate.

This will be the first time we get to play them since they were relgated from the football league last season.

Can't wait, i may actually come out of retirement and go watch the game. Nothing like a Town Mansfield derby to gain some love and passion back
