BBC Scotland will screen live the Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final between St Johnstone and Celtic.

The McDiarmid Park match, on 27 October, which will be shown on BBC One Scotland, kicks off at 1930 BST.

The Perth club are looking to make consecutive semi-final appearances in the competition, losing out to eventual champions Rangers last season.

Celtic are hoping to regain the trophy they won in 2008-09, after losing to Hearts in last season's quarter-finals.

St Johnstone reached this stage of the competition by beating First Division Queen of the South 3-0 in Perth, while Celtic comprehensively defeated Inverness CT 6-0 at Celtic Park.

The fixture will also be streamed live on the BBC Sport website.
