I'm happy with our tie,Macclesfield at home. They beat us 4-1 last time they played here, but that was the end of Sinnot's reign, and the team seems much happer under Vale legend Dean Glover.

other local teams...Crewe will face the winner of Carlisle United or Grays Athletic, while non-league outfit Eastwood town are at home to the winners of tomorrows fixture between AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers

Out of the frying pan and into the fire for my beloved Daggers  :daggers:

I'm sure I went to Filbert Street in the 70's with Dagenham for an FA Cup game, won't be going this time though (I know they now play at the Walkers Stadium) even if we do get passed Hereford.

 :Jimmie O':  Cheers

It's great to be back among friends.

We are at home against Darlington or Droylsden

Personally, i hope Droylsden beat Darlo, can't actually see us beating Darlington in the cup to be honest.

Gee that's nice of you!

Nice to know that you think you can't beat us but can Droylsden. If Droylsden beat us then don't think they wont do the same to you.

They will want to get to 3rd round aftr all.

I know what your saying, but we'd not beat you at all, don't think were good enough to, while we'd have more of a chance to beat the Non League outfit, infairness, we'd prob lose, we have a crap record in the cup and against non league.

In allfairness, the suprise attack that can happen and does tend to happen in the first game of the round does help the underdog side, not often that the underdog wins in the replay (if that makes sense,)

I fully epxect Town v Darlo

Got back from playing football last night, had a massive shock when I read the text message from CFC that a shock had happened and Darlo lost to Droylsden.

I can imagine Darlo is pretty gutted about this. I got the draw i wanted, but we have to make sure we aren't another club knocked out by the conference north side.

Yea I'm gutted. A cup run would have been nice but it's not to be.

I guess they will have to concentrate on the league now.

Yeah, thats a postive thing, you've not got something in the way of a decent title push to be honest. But a nice cup run is good, not often we get one of those for Chesterfield in recent years.

It would be nice to get into the 3rd round, then get a massive team to help with funds. Although we musn't think its going to be an easy win, its actually going to be tough.
