http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/West-Ham-s-new-owners-hopeful-Robert-Green-will-extend-his-Upton-Park-stay-Exclusive-article347769.html

West Ham's new owners are hopeful the club’s England keeper Rob Green will perform a U-turn and pen a new contract at the club this summer.

David Sullivan and David Gold took charge at Upton Park in January with a vow to retain the club’s biggest stars until this summer at least.

But Sullivan was aware when he arrived that keeper Green, who has nine caps after starting against Egypt, was looking to leave after a contract wrangle.

Green, 30, is unhappy he remains relatively low paid compared to his team-mates like Kieron Dyer, who earn £65,000-a-week.

Former Norwich trainee Green penned a long-term deal in 2007 but was then left behind in the wage stakes as the club bought a succession of expensive stars.

He slammed the club’s old regime in July 2008 for not improving his £25,000-a-week terms.

But Sullivan is now willing to review the club’s decision should they retain their top-flight status.

And he is hopeful Green will agree fresh terms after receiving initial positive feedback about the star staying.

I hope we keep hold of him, but not at the expense of the club. If he was happy to sign the £25,000 a week contract at the time, he should honour it. I think the 2 Davids should be concentrateing on outing the likes of Dyer and company who arrived on silly money, and nearly threw us out of business.

Yeah, IMO you want to keep hold of him. Did well vs Egypt (can't fault him for the goal) and I'm pretty sure he is popular at the Boleyn.
