Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will be sidelined for "at least a few weeks" with an ankle injury, according to the Dutch Football Association.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury during Arsenal's 2-1 win over Blackburn in the Premier League on Saturday.

Van Persie will miss Netherlands' European Championship qualifiers against San Marino and Finland.

He missed five months last season after damaging ankle ligaments while on international duty.

When he busted the other ankle last November there was talk that he was putting horse cum on it to speed the healing process. Modern science and all that. Bendtner has taking to having accupuncture and relaxation massages on his toes to cure his groin strain.

The world is going mad. What happed to the can of deep heat ? That cured everything

Big blow for Arsenal that. They were not as good without him last time, so he will be a big miss.

Added to the Walcott injury, plus Bendtner and Nasri and we haven't had the best of luck at the start of the season
