Everton manager David Moyes has been named the Premier League manager of the month for October.

The Scot, who wins the accolade for the eighth time since he took over the club in 2002 and the third time in 2010, led the Toffees to three wins and a draw.

Spurs midfielder Rafael van der Vaart takes the player of the month award.

The 27-year-old Dutchman, who signed from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day in August, scored three goals and provided one assist in October.

Van der Vaart becomes the fifth Dutchman to receive the award - following in the footsteps of compatriots Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie.

Moyes, 47, has won the League Managers Association annual award on three occasions.

No arguing Van der Vaart is has been good but I still firmly believe Spurs cheated to get him and he shouldn't have been allowed to sign last window. Should be Jan before he was allowed to sign in the prem. perhaps it was poetic justice with the Nani goal and Gomes slip up.

Moyes is a quality manager and deserves his award. You do wonder how much longer he will stay at Everton before a team with money nabs him.

D, do you think that he'll move overseas or move to another club in the UK (if he moves at all) ?  thinking

I think that he has to go overseas.
I can't see him at Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U or Citeh, and anything else is probably a step down for him.
His record at Everton is quality and without spending too much money as well.
